Uncle Paul was such a great man. He loved his family and he loved life. He always enjoyed being with his family and friends and he loved to host, entertain and have fun. I will never forget the many summer nights on the houseboat on Dale Hollow Lake when he would bring out the Gibson Hummingbird Guitar that Aunt Mary bought him and would start picking and singing those Hank William songs! And of course let us not forget how he loved to play golf! He was hard to beat!
Thank you Uncle Paul for all the love you shared with us.
Wishing comfort and peace for Aunt Mary and David and family.

As a young boy Paul showed me that it was OK to laugh or snicker at the occasional off color joke or comment. Paul was always playing some sort of joke or prank and laughing, always laughing (I can hear it now) and he is one of those great people that taught me that life doesn't always have to be so serious. I moved away from Michigan almost 40 years ago and last saw Paul when my mom, Lena, passed away a few years ago but so enjoyed seeing uncle Paul and aunt Mary for those two days. I will always remember Paul and how he made me laugh. My thoughts are with his family and I send my love. David Brooks

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Paul's brother, James, was a dear friend for many years and such a kind and wonderful gentleman. We know Paul had to be the same and are so saddened at your loss. May God bless, keep, and comfort you now and in the many days ahead.

I happened to see this notice and just wanted to say I am thinking of your family at this time. My family is from Baxter and we are close kin to your family. My mama Nellie Maddux and cousin Elsie Maddux remembered Doyle very well. Will pray for you all.
