Obituary for Tammy L. Ferrell (Ferrell)

Tammy L. Ferrell, 60 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born Tuesday, August 2, 1960 in Livinston, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Norman Ferrell, Jean Swallows, and step-father Rex Swallows.

Tammy was a graduate of Rickman High School in the late '70's. Marrying her high school sweetheart, Bruce Wiley. Later marrying Gary Novicoff. She was stubborn and rebellious, with a wicked addiction to black coffee. She lived by her own rules doing what she wanted to do. She grew up on the rodeo circuit during the weekends and summers. She learned many things including riding, roping, barrel racing and buggy races, winning the title of Putnam County Rodeo Barrel Princes. Tammy dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but life happened. However, her love of all creatures turned into her passion for caring for the elderly. She was fearless, enjoying any adventure, especially traveling and music.
She had a great appreciation for those serving in the military and all first responders.
She was loved deeply by her mother, Jean Swallows.

In addition to her mother and step-father, Tammy is survived by:

Brandy (Timothy of Livingston) Wiley-Bilbrey of Michigan.

2 sons:
Brandon (Teresa) Wiley of Michigan
Brett (Ambir) Novicoff of Michigan

5 granddaughters

1 sister:
Amy (Jeremy) Morgan of Hardy's Chapel

There will be private family memorial service. The family will receive family and friends 11:30 am - 6:30 pm Monday, February 22, 2021, at the Hilham Church of God 694 Old Union Road Hilham, TN 38568

In lieu of flowers and plants, contributions can be made toward Tammy's services can be made to Crest Lawn Funeral Home-Cremation Center at 800 W. Jackson St Cookeville, TN 38501 931-526-6384. There will also be a donation box available during the vistation.
