Sandra Marie (MacKay) Amaral, age 75, passed away on December 16, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born November 5, 1945, in Holden, Massachusetts to Robert and Evelyn MacKay. Sandy graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1963. After graduation, she attended the St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing and served in the Army Nurse Corps. Sandy served others as a Nurse for over 50 years, working in hospitals, and caring for the elderly.

Sandy was a devoted Christian and attended Osterville Baptist Church while living on Cape Cod and The River Community Church while living in Cookeville.

Sandy is survived by her brother Donald (Sue) MacKay of Manasquan, New Jersey. Sons: Eric (Susan) Amaral of Seminole, Florida, and Brian Amaral of Cookeville, Tennessee. Daughters: Jennifer (Garrett) Jenks of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Stephanie Rolfe of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Sandy loved being Nana to Allison, Andrew, Annika, Aidan, Jack, and Luke as well as Aunt Sandy to numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was also Godmother to her niece Katie MacKay Krusznis of Toms River, New Jersey.

Celebration of Life for Sandra Marie (MacKay) Amaral, will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Tiebout officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 12:00 until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
