Robert Ray Jackson, 74 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Tennessee Valley Veteran's Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Robert was born Wednesday, August 31, 1949, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late LO and Ruth Jackson.

Robert served in the Army and was medically discharged. He struggled throughout his life with Schizophrenia but we all made the best of it. Robert was a gentle giant with his 6'5" height, very rarely saying a cross word.

As his health declined in the last year he told Melinda he was ready to go. He will be missed especially by his loving sister Linda who has faithfully cared for Robert for many years.

Robert is survived by his sister, Linda Tinch of Cookeville, TN; Brother, Jimmy (Vera) Jackson of Pensacola, FL; Nieces, Melinda (Ken) Pendleton, Mary (Mike) Williams, and Janet (David) Winsted; Nephew, Gary (Teresa) Huddleston.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by, his nephew Paul Jackson.

Funeral Service for Robert Ray Jackson will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:00 am from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with family officiating.  Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
