Obituary for Mary Ellen Potter (Pippin)
Mary Ellen (Pippin) Potter, 78 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her home.
Mary was born Thursday, December 21, 1944 in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Bethel James Pippin and the late Vera (Anderson) Pippin.
Mary was a loving daugher, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a wonderful counselor for Cookeville High School for 14 years where the students adored her and a social worker in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for several years. Mary was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by, Granddaughter, Rachel McKay; Son-In-Law, Will McKay; Brother, Paul M. Pippin; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by Daughter, Ginger McKay; 3 Sisters, Geneva Allison, Betty Knight, and Judy Delaney.
Graveside Service for Mary Ellen (Pippin) Potter will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 at 1:00 pm from the Edmund Dyer Cemetery in the Pippin Community of Cookeville, Tennessee.
