Obituary for Marion O Prigmore (Lamberson)

Marion Oneil Prigmore, 91 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Heart of Mary House in Nashville, Tennessee.

Marion was born Saturday, October 31, 1931, in Buffalo Valley, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Isaac Lamberson and the late Ladion (Stanton) Lamberson.

Marion was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.  She attended McClellan Avenue Church of Christ for many years, was very devoted to her church family, and loved to read her bible.  She worked for Cookeville Regional Medical Center for 25 years as a housekeeper.  She loved to watch professional football and it didn't matter what team was on.  She enjoyed sitting on the front and back porch bird-watching.  She loved to shop, especially at Goodwill.  For any church event that she was going to, she had to be early and the first one there.  "I Want Your Running Shoes, So I Can Run Out Of Here"  "When You Do Right In The Lord, Good Things Will Happen"

Marion is survived by, 4 Daughters, Angelia Darlene Myers, Petrice Brannon, Renee Onwu and her husband Charles, and Cynthia Prigmore; Step-Son, Benny Myers, and his wife, Marissa; 10 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Devoted Granddaughter, Veronica Prigmore; Special Nieces, Vivian Brown, and Tammy Bumphus; Special Friend, Carol Cannon;  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by, Husband of 53 years, Charles Prigmore; 3 Sons, Carlos, Cetric, and Nathan Prigmore.

Funeral Service for Marion Oneil Prigmore will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 12:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Andre Massengile officiating.  Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
