Obituary for Margaret Ann Overholt (Parks)

Margaret Overholt, 99, of Cookeville, TN passed away on November 25, 2022. She was raised in an orphanage during the Great Depression. Dedicated her life to the doing of good for others.

She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and an avid student of the Bible. Over 60 years, she personally visited most every home in Putnam County with the Bible’s message of God’s Kingdom, a future paradise on earth, and the resurrection. Margaret treasured the promise of Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” She will be missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her son Ed, his wife Jackie, grandson Chris, his wife Myriam, granddaughter Rebecca, her husband Bernd.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James of 54 years and her son, Steve.
A Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3850 Gainesboro Grade, Cookeville, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at 3:30pm with Brent Minnear officiating. The family invites all to attend.
