Obituary for Linda Carol Mertz (Mayberry)
Linda Carol Mertz, age 75 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Monday, June 27, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Born Thursday, January 16, 1947, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ewin and Martha Lou (Chaffin) Mayberry.
Linda was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She attended Freewill Church of Christ and worked several years in the furniture industry, She was a loving caretaker taking care of Kyle Mertz over the years.

Kyle Mertz of Cookeville, TN
1 Brother:
Roy Mayberry of Gainesboro, TN
1 Niece:
Tammy K. Mayberry of Cookeville, TN

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Curtis Mertz, and several siblings.
Funeral services for Linda will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, beginning at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home, with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. Interment will follow in Byers Cemetery in Jackson County, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 29, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
