Obituary

Juanita (Gentry) Nation, 97 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County.

She was born Saturday, August 11, 1923, in White County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Lewis Gentry and the late Bonnie Lula (Huddleston) Gentry.

She was a member of the Willow Avenue church of Christ. Juanita was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, ma, and friend. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Juanita is survived by, 2 Daughters, Jeanette and Tom Pillar, and Joanne and Tom Longfellow; 3 Granddaughters, Suzanne and Keith Wise, Sonya and Darren West, and Elissa and Brandon Marks; Grandson, Nathan Longfellow; Great-Granddaughter, Sarah Wise; 4 Great-Grandsons, Kameron Wise, Reese, Jager, and Brett West; Sister, Anna Pearl Ritz.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by, Husband of 69 years, James Gusta Nation; Infant Daughter, Anna Marie Nation; Great-Grandson, Trevor Reese West; 2 Brothers, Willie Gaines Gentry, Jordan David Thomas (J.D.) Gentry; 4 Sisters, Mollie Kate (Kay) Huddleston, Lula Mae Martin, Mary Edna Flatt, and Jo Nelda Harvey.

Due to COVID19, the family requests that masks be worn and social distancing be observed.

Funeral Service for Juanita (Gentry) Nation will be held Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bros. Clarence Deloach and Mike Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2020, and again Sunday, November 29, 2020, from 1:00 pm until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Willow Meals Program at Willow Avenue church of Christ or Happy Haven Children's Home.
