John Melvin Bogart, Jr., 77 , Cookeville, TN, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.
John was born Sunday, January 6, 1946, in New York, NY, to the late Melvin Jesse Bogart and late Eva Castle Bogart. John was a plumber serving the Nashville area for 45 years. He enjoyed watching old movies and westerns like the Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke, as well as Law and Order. He loved animals, especially his beagle Gilbert. Above all, John was a family man, with his kids and grandkids being the light of his life.
John is survived by:
son, John (Karen) Bogart of Cookeville
daughter, Shelly (Mike Milburn) Lovell of Cookeville
grandchildren,
Brittany and Rowdy Lovell
along with a host of special friends, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by wife Aneta Bogart.
The family is following John's wishes to be cremated.
