Obituary

Jerry Wayne Carter, 66 of Cookeville, Tennessee and formerly of Mayland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Jerry was born Thursday, July 1, 1954, and he was the son of the late Robert Carter and the late Estelle (Taylor) Carter.

Jerry is survived by, Brother, Robert and Nancy Carter; Son, Jeremiah Uder; Special Friend, Dianne Ashmore; 2 Brother-In-Laws, Joe Wood and Brownie Pugh; A host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by, 3 Sisters, Susan Pugh, Catherine Wood, and Marian "Cookie" Page;

Jerry chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and no services are planned at this time.

I went to school with Jerry & considered him a good friend, with time you lose touch but the memories are still there. He was part of our group from Mayland & the last time I talked to him he was proud of his son. So very sorry for your lost & rest in peace friend. Linda Abston Sherrill Keyes
