Jeanette Smith, 79 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Jeanette was born Wednesday, June 28, 1944, in Carthage, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Willard Smith and the late Nana Lou Norrod.
Jeanette was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, granny, aunt, and friend.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Loretta Dillon; 4 Granddaughters, Christy Vanatta and her husband, Eric, Joni Gosnell, Michelle Gosnell, and Christy Gamble; 9 Great-Grandchildren, Savannah, Tinsley, Braxton, Brendan, Joshua, Talia, Samuel, Matthew, Jacob, Jaylen, and Nathan; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ray Gamble; Son, Ralph Gamble; 2 Brothers, Dillard Smith, and Burks Norrod; 3 Sisters, Pat Whittenburg, Mable Gore, and Marie Smith.
Celebration of Life for Jeanette Smith will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
