Obituary

Betty "Jane" (Chote) Bowman, 69 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Jane was born Saturday, May 19, 1951, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Pete Chote and the late Frances (Snelson) Chote.

Jane was a 1969 graduate of Cookeville High School. She was a life long member of the Salem Methodist Church. She retired from London Bridge Preschool in 2014.

Jane is survived by, 2 Children, Scott and Courtney Bohannon, and Jason and Allison Bohannon; 5 Grandchildren, Colby, Blake, Nathan, Easton, and Britton Grace; Primary Caregivers, Chris Sparks, and family.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by, 4 Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Mary Jo Chote, Linda, and Bud Sparks, Ann and Hershel Stevenson, Kaye and Ken Bowman; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Randy Chote and Bobby and Peggy Chote.

Celebration of Life for Jane Bowman will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Bullock officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cookeville Animal Shelter or Hearts of the Cumberland.

I’ve known Jane for many years, growing up in school with her. She had a big heart and kind spirit. I enjoyed all our talks and fun we had. She will be missed, I’m so thankful for calling her my friend. See you in Heaven, Jane. ❤️🙏🏻
