Obituary for Jack McClain

Jack McClain, age 71 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at his home in Cookeville.

He was born Tuesday, July 12, 1949 in Gainesboro, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Marvin and Melzona (Copeland) McClain.

Jack was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and friend to all who knew him. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and a Truck Driver for many years. Nobody valued or loved hard work more than him. He never hesitated to express an honest opinion, whether you wanted it or not. He valued his family above all else, and friends a close second. He enjoyed Walleye and Crappie fishing, and horseback riding with his Daughter. He never hesitated to help out a friend and would do anything for anybody. His Grandson Will was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his Wife of 41 years Gale (Judd) McClain of Cookeville, TN

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: 1 infant Sister: Barbara Vivian McClain, 2 Brothers: Doyle and Toby McClain, 1 Brother-in-law: Leroy Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Al Menah Shriners.

Due to Covid-19 it is requested that everyone please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Funeral services for Jack will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Kocher, Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Sister Thelma Roby officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 30 from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm.
