Obituary for Hubert "Eddie" Edward Bell
Hubert "Eddie" Edward Bell, 77 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County surrounded by his family.
Eddie was born Thursday, April 19, 1945, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late Raybon Clifford Bell, Jr., and the late Lucille (Slagle) Bell.
Eddie was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Pa, uncle, and friend. He retired after 39 years and 2 months from Fleetguard. He proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a volunteer fireman for the Algood Fire Department. He loved motorcycles, NASCAR Races, classic cars, and going to car shows. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, camping, and going to the beach. Eddie was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Eddie is survived by, Wife of 59 years, Linda Bell; 2 Daughters, Sherri Knight and her husband Mitchell, and Cindy Starnes and her husband, Robert; 4 Grandchildren, Blake Thomas, Ashleigh Thomas, Kayla Smith, and Matthew Knight; Sister, Carol Carothers; Brother, Terry Bell and his wife, Debbie; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by, Brother, Raybon Lynn Bell; 2 Nephews, Jason Booth and Jeromy Bell.
Funeral Service for Hubert "Eddie" Bell will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Sister Melinda Bilbrey and Grandson Blake Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Algood City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Blake Thomas, Joe James, Robert Starnes, Josh Booth, Matthew Knight, and Mitchell Knight.
