Obituary for Georgia Ann Sherfey (Lewis)
Georgia Ann (Lewis) Sherfey, 82 of Algood, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home.
Georgia was born Friday, October 20, 1939, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late General Jackson Lewis and the late Pearlie Jane (Montgomery) Lewis.
Georgia was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nanny, aunt, and friend. She was very caring and was known to put others before herself. She loved the Lord and attended Sycamore Church of Christ for 20 years. She worked for Arts Uniq' and Oster for many years. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Georgia is survived by, 2 Children, Pennie and Johnny Dyer, and Shelia Hammock; 7 Grandchildren, Jack Janes, Crystal Kelley (Derek Boats), Danielle Kelley - Lane (Brandon), Jessica Keen, Vanessa Moss, Jonathan Dyer, and Cody Gardner; 9 Great-Grandchildren, Olivia Kelley, Ashton Allen, Jaylynn Reeves, Abbie Ogles, Kessie Keen, Lennon Moss, Kelsie Lane, Kayleigh Lane, and Junior Janes; 5 Step-Children: Ida Kathy Luke, Elsie Eileen Vercher, Howard Allen Sherfey, Jean Thompson, and Karen Stire; Special Sister, Estelle Lewis; Brother, JR Lewis; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by, Husband, Howard Sherfey; 3 Children, Jack Gardner, Betty Gardner, and Randy Gardner; Grandson, Jake Boles; Siblings, Altie Mae Ramsey, Webster Lewis, Charles Lewis, and James A. Lewis; Step-Daughter, Mary Ann Westerman.
Celebration of Life for Georgia Ann (Lewis) Sherfey will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
