Obituary for Freda Joyce Medley (Caruthers)
Freda Joyce Medley, 90 of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed from this life on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Freda was born Friday, January 22, 1932 in Old Hickory, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Morley Caruthers and the late Vina Lee (Pritchard) Caruthers.
Freda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Mema, aunt, and friend. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cookeville for many years. She was a Evaluator for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program for the State of Tennessee until she retired. Freda was an avid reader, loved to travel with her husband James, and loved her flower garden. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Freda is survived by, Husband of 50 Years, James Medley; Daughter, Cindy and Johnny Randolph; 3 Grandsons, Justin and Stephanie Randolph, Benjamin Randolph, and Jonathan Randolph; 3 Great-Grandsons, Blake, Brayden, and Bryant Randolph; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by, 2 Sisters, Wanda Burton, and Lois Bryant.
Funeral Service for Freda Joyce Medley will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bros. Justin Randolph and Steve Farris officiating. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
