Obituary for Freda S. Harris (Blaylock)
Freda S. Harris, age 78 of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Sunday, September 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Sherley Blaylock and the late Elizabeth Webb Blaylock. She was the wife of the late Mack Harris.
Freda was a great daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved all of her children, especially the grandkids. She was a great mother and woman, helping anyone that needed it, but she would tell you the way it was, straight forward and not holding anything back. Freda enjoyed cooking and the boys enjoyed her cooking even more. The boys would laugh as Mom would call out all three names before getting the right one. She always said "what goes around, comes around". Freda enjoyed her flowers, she knew all the varieties and answered many calls about flower questions.
Freda worked at the Cookeville and Baxter Senior Citizen Centers for many years.
Surviving are sons:
Ricky (Barbara) Harris of Somerset, KY
Ronnie (Verble) Harris of Bloomington Springs. TN
Randy (late Kathrine) Harris of Cookeville, TN.
12 grandchildren
And nieces, nephews and many friends
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Mack, son Gregory Harris,
Funeral services for Freda will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home located at 800 West Jackson Street Cookeville, Tennessee 38501, with Pastor Maston Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Brotherton Cemetery of Cookeville, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, June 18, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.
