Obituary for Elsie Marie Fowler (Estes)

Elsie Marie Fowler, 82 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Elsie was born Sunday, March 26, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Earnest Monroe Estes and the late Annie Olene (Dunnagan) Peyton.

Elsie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger and was always giving out her sweet hugs. She was known to take care of everyone she knew and some she didn't know. Elsie was loved by all that knew and she will be greatly missed.

Elsie is survived by, 3 Children, Marcia Gibson, Jeff, and Dorothy Fowler, Tommy and Tina Fowler; 5 Grandchildren, Melissa and Nathan McDowell, TJ and Jamie Fowler, Karisa and Troy Rogers, Angela Gibson, and Candice Fowler; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Sue Norris; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by, Husband, Tom Fowler; Son, Johnny Estes; 2 Sisters, Verdie Ann Walton, and Annie Pearl Adams; Brother, William Estes.

Funeral Service for Elsie Marie Fowler will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Entombment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again, Friday, January 28, 2022, from 11:00 am until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Pall Bearers will be, John Jones, Jerald Jones, Joel Jones, TJ Fowler, Nathan McDowell, Adam McDowell, and Honorary Dylan McDowell.
