Obituary for Dorothy Jean Brown (Cowan)
Dorothy Jean Brown, 88 of Cookeville passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022,
Born Thursday, August 17, 1933 in Baxter, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cowan and the late Lou Alcorn Cowan.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved children and singing anytime she had the chance.
Dorothy is survived by:
Daughters, Carole ( Ed) Gentry, Martha (Mike) Holloway and Son Ray (Vickie) Brown all of Cookeville. Daughter Debbie ( Steve ) Strickland of Sparta. She is also survived by a brother Bill Cowan of Cookeville, Brother in law Lloyd (Callie) Brown of Gainesboro, Sister in law June Cowan also of Cookeville. Dorothy has 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Raymon Brown of 68 years.
Brothers Robert Cowan, Jerry Cowan, sister in laws Marie Cowan and Rita Cowan. One grandson Micah Shay Kuhnert.
Graveside services for Dorothy will be held of Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Cookeville, TN.
