Obituary for Diana Sue Shappard (Moore)

Diana Sue Shappard, passed peacefully in her sleep on May 9,2021 at Mabry Healthcare surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Warren, and Dorothy Irene (Phegley) Moore and her brother William D. Moore, all of Columbus, Indiana.

Diana is survived by her loving Husband of 53 years, Joseph Robert Shappard; her Daughters, Stacey Ann (Jimmy) Mott and Amanda Jo Shappard; her Grandchildren, Kelsey Logan Mott, Bailey Jo Huff and Kolby Allen Huff; and her sisters Nancy Kay (James) Wells of Columbus, Indiana, and LuAnn (Richard) Parker of West Lafayette, Indiana; as well as many loving Nieces, Nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Diana had a love for the outdoors and could always be found camping and fishing with Joe on area lakes. Diana was an avid supporter of Tennessee Tech basketball and was honored as the Lady Eagles' millionth fan in 2011. Many of Diana's years were spent working with the youth of Putnam County as a Girl Scout leader and camp counselor at Bend of the River as well as cheering on her girls and grandchildren in various sports through the years.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Avalon Hospice and Mabry Healthcare for their amazing support and care.

The family has chosen cremation and no visitation or service is planned at this time. A private celebration of life for Diana will be held at a later date.
