Obituary for David "Apple Jack" Tinsley Patton Sr.
David "Apple Jack" Tinsley Patton, Sr., 86 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
David was born Sunday, April 19, 1936, in Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late Dewey Tinsley Patton and the late Willie Mae (Bowen) Patton.
David was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend. He loved life, his children, and his grandchildren. He retired from Air and Hydraulic Equipment as an Industrial Electrician. He loved Jesus, was a godly man, and attended Eastwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and sudoku puzzles. He was a perfectionist at anything he did and any project he did, no matter how big or small. David was loved by all that knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
David is survived by, Wife of 48 Years, Jean (Hammons) Patton; 2 Children, David Patton and his wife Melissa, and Becky Shaver and her husband, Daniel; 3 Grandchildren, Samuel Shaver, Gracie Patton, and Matthew Shaver; Sister-In-Law, Retha Looper; 3 Brothers-in-law, Ray Hammons, Joe D. Hammons, and Billy Jackson; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by, 6 Siblings, Pinkie, George, Ben, Margaret, Jackie, and Honey Bunch "Bunk"; 2 Brothers-in-law, Bruce Hammons, and Calvin "Capp" Hammons; 2 Sisters-In-Law, Milda Jackson, and Carolyn Hammons.
Funeral Service for David "Apple Jack" Tinsley Patton will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bros. Steve Flatt, Harold Walker, and Jim Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
