Obituary for Christopher "Chris" Howard Knowlton
Christopher "Chris" Howard Knowlton, 60 of Algood, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Chris was born Wednesday, August 8, 1962, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and he was the son of the late Melville "Sarge" Harvey Knowlton and Dimple (Johnson) Knowlton.
Chris was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was willing to help anyone that had a need and was known for his "Bear Hugs". He loved to make others laugh, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, smoking meat, cooking, and beekeeping. He enjoyed going to his grandkids' ball games. Chris was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
Chris is survived by, his wife, Nancy Knowlton; Mother, Dimple Knowlton; Son, Adam Knowlton and his wife Ellen; Stepson, Scotty Qualls and his wife Britany; 2 Stepdaughters, Tabbatha Dishman and her husband TJ, and Amanda Boles and her husband Keith; 2 Grandchildren, Crockett Knowlton and Rally D. Knowlton; Nine Stepgrandchildren, Quinton & Bailey Qualls, Austin, Cody, Kayelyn Garrett, Malia Dishman, Mason, Jaxson, and Cambree Boles; Five Brothers, Michael H. Knowlton and partner Cindy, Edward Timothy Knowlton and his wife Judy, Anthony Wayne Knowlton and his wife Debbie, Russell S. Knowlton and partner Patti, and Gary Knowlton; Sister, Suzan Loraine Knowlton; Special Uncle, Harold Johnson and his wife Trudy. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Melville "Sarge" Knowlton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers.
Celebration of Life for Christopher "Chris" Howard Knowlton will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Alex Jackson officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
