Obituary for Charlie Dewey Bean

Charlie Bean, age 83 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Sunday, April 30, 2023, at his home in Cookeville.

Born Friday, October 20, 1939 in Gainsboro, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Campbell and Sallie (Judd) Bean.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was a Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher, at Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church for many years. He was a member of The Crownsman Quartet in Cookeville, and a former song leader in various churches in Cookeville. He retired from Genco Stamping of Cookeville after 38 years of service.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances (Ramsey) Bean of Cookeville.

Sherry and Nathan Wiles of Ware Shoals, SC

4 grandchildren and 1 spouse and 1 significant other:
Charlie Atnip and Crystal Sandlin, Jason Atnip, Chelsea and Austin Ziegenfuss, Hannah Wiles

5 great-grandchildren:
Adalynn, Cyrus, Logan, Spencer, Cassius

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Charlie will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 beginning at 1:00 PM at Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church located at 833 South Willow Ave Cookeville, Tennessee 38501 with Bro. Seth Price and Rev. Nathan Wiles officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church Friday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
