Obituary for Candace Lynn Bays (Braden)

Candace Bays passed away peacefully on Feb 9, 2021.

There will be a private memorial service held for her on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in which family and friends will be personally invited to.

Candace Lynn was born July 3, 1948 to the late William and Beverly Braden of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Her family moved to Westminister, California in 1954 where she grew up and met her now deceased husband Jon Bays with whom she wed on January 21, 1967. Candace developed a strong faith in her god Jehovah at an early age and she loved to speak about the scriptural hope of God's Kingdom with others. After marriage she and Jon had a big family of 6 children together (Adin, Brandin, Corie, Dustin, Eric, and Jordan) that she loved deeply. Her and Jon moved to Cookeville, TN in 1983 where they settled down. Her humor was infectious and she loved playing practical jokes and teasing everyone she knew. She was always smiling and was young at heart. Having raised 5 boys though, she could be tough when she needed to be. She loved camping, horseback riding, going to the beach, snow skiing, and days at the lake. She was always there for her family and friends, offering a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. Her hope was anchored firmly in the resurrection and she knew her loved ones were safe in God's memory. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband Jon Bays, her brother David Braden, and her second son Brandin Bays.

She is survived by 5 children and their spouses: Adin & Donna Bays, Whitney Bays, Corie & Anthony Fields, Dustin & Maggie Bays, Eric Bays, and Jordan & Rhianna Bays.
