Obituary for Billy Edward Riddle

Billy Edward Riddle, 74 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Billy was born Saturday, July 27, 1946, in Monterey, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late Fred Lee Riddle and the late Girlie Marie (Vaughn) Riddle.

Billy was a loving son, brother, husband, daddy, Pa Bill, (Popsicle Pa), uncle, and friend. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was proud of his country. He worked for Kroger for 39 years where he held many positions around the store and was respected by the children that came through his checkout line because he enjoyed having fun with them. Billy was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Billy is survived by, Wife of 45 years, Joyce Marie (Swallows) Riddle; 3 Children, Lora and Mike Stephens, Jeremy and Debbie Riddle, and Jonathan and Carly Riddle; 8 Grandchildren, Tiffany and Malik Brewer, Joshua Riddle, Grant, and Ana Maria Riddle, Courtney Riddle, Haley Reynolds, Anna Grace Riddle, and Christabella Riddle; 2 Great-Grand-Children, Bentley Brewer and Laura Ann Riddle; 5 Siblings, Fred Riddle, Jack, and Lori Riddle, Mary Heady, Treva, and Robert Boatman, and Linda Barnaby; Sister-in-law, Barbara Riddle; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by, First Wife, Rosemary (Maddle) Riddle, 2 Brothers, Doyle and Ronnie Riddle; 2 Half-Brothers, Gerald and Randall Riddle; Brother-in-law, Joe Barnaby;

Funeral Service for Billy Edward Riddle will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Praise Cathedral Church of God with Pastors Eric Vickers and Justin McCulley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2020, from 12:00 pm until time of service at Praise Cathedral Church of God.
