Obituary

Barbara Jean (Gentry) Smith, 78 of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born Thursday, October 29, 1942, in Cookeville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Doyle P. Gentry and the late Lela Ruth (Stewart) Gentry.

She held a few jobs during her life and before becoming disabled she worked at the Holiday Inn on Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Barbara is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Kenneth Smith, 3 Sons, Danny Horn, Alex Horn, and Jimmy Horn, and her daughter, Pamola Bailey all of Cookeville, Tennessee. She had 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Betty, and Larry Chaffin, Wanda and Junior Grasty, 2 brothers, Jimmy Gentry and Darrell Gentry all of Cookeville, Tennessee. Special nephew, Thomas and Starr Gentry of Alabama. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by, son, Michael Horn, sister Mary Franklin and first husband Alex Sanford Horn

Barbara chose cremation, the family followed her wishes, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
