Obituary for Anna Louise Smith (Cumby)

Anna Louise Smith, age 96 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Lakeshore The Meadows Nursing Home in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was born Sunday, October 26, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Jane (Jackson) Cumby.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, friend to all who knew her. She was a charter member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

Louise is survived by:

Pat and Phil Hayden of Nashville, TN

1 Son and Daughter-in-law:
Harding and Barbara Smith of Cookeville, TN

5 Grandchildren:
Melissa Anderson, Stace and Beth Hackett, Kim and Scott Correll, Barry and Peggy Hackett, and Kathy and Brad South,

8 Great Grandchildren:
Hannah and Christian Kenton, Kaylie Hackett, Macie and Christian Orrand, Matthew Hackett, Bella Anderson, and Emma Hackett, Samuel Correll, and Anna Kate Correll.

2 Great Great Grandchildren:
Annaleigh Grace Kenton, Alaina Rose Orrand

1 Brother and Sister-in-law:
Robert F. and Marge Cumby of Orlando, FL

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband of 63 years: Howard H. Smith, and 1 Brother: Harold Cumby.

Funeral services for Louise will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Gaw officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, November 30, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.

The funeral home ask that due to Covid-19 that everyone please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
